Every year, thousands of volunteers donate their time and talents to making a difference in the lives of homeless families and individuals in our programs. From cooking dinner at the family shelter to sorting donations, there are always opportunities for groups and individuals to get involved for a single day or on an ongoing basis.
How to become a volunteer
CAN I START MY OWN VOLUNTEER PROJECT?
CAN MY ORGANIZATION, GROUP OR SCHOOL PARTICIPATE IN A PROJECT?
Yes, volunteers come in many group types, from church groups to corporate groups, as well as Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts and teens from the local high schools. If your group is interested in volunteering, we will try our best to match you with an appropriate project. Please visit our Volunteer Opportunities page for more information on seasonal and group projects.
IS THERE A MINIMUM AGE REQUIREMENT TO VOLUNTEER?
We accept young volunteers (12 years old and younger) as long as there is an adult/guardian supervising during the volunteer project.
