Our History
SHELTER, Inc. grew out of community meetings organized to tackle an increase in homelessness. Since our inception in 1986, over 270,000 children, women and men have been helped through a three tier approach aimed at preventing homelessness, breaking the cycle of homelessness and providing affordable housing.
