“It was very hard for me to get housing with a mental illness and on a fixed income. Since I’ve been in the program, I graduated from a behavioral health program and I am a peer mentor to other people struggling with mental illness. Thank you for all of your support and giving me a permanent home.”

We know that for disabled low- income families and individuals, finding permanent affordable housing can be a challenge. We provide safe and sanitary housing while promoting housing stability for those who need it most.

SHELTER, Inc. owns or master leases over 200 units throughout the county, renting to low-income, vulnerable residents, many of whom have otherwise been unable to find housing.

To apply for assistance call (925) 338-1038 Monday - Friday 9am to 4pm. For more information about this program visit our Housing Assistance page.
