Interim Housing

Beck Avenue Navigation Center (BANC) is a year-round emergency shelter located on 3.5 acres in Fairfield, Ca. BANC can meet the interim housing needs of individuals and families with accommodations including dormitory style rooms, family-sized rooms, and separate apartment-style units. The campus is secured and includes a dining hall, dog kennels, and recreational areas for persons of all ages. Those housed at BANC receive extensive services including case management, employment services, health and wellness checks, connection to benefits and other resources, and individualized success plans to aid them on their path to self-sufficiency and housing.

Long-Term Housing

We offer financial assistance combined with supportive services to help homeless families and individuals overcome the challenges and barriers which led to homelessness.

The objective of these programs is to reduce the duration of homelessness or temporary housing in a shelter, while solving the immediate challenges of finding stable housing and teaching participants how to be good tenants. Connecting our participants to community resources increases stability in the household and puts them on a path to success and upward mobility.

Reintegrating into the Community

Social and structural barriers that can affect renting and employment eligibility can make finding housing incredibly difficult for formerly incarcerated people. Applying evidence-based approaches, SHELTER, Inc. offers a variety of individualized services to help participants access and sustain housing while building community connections and ultimately achieving self-sufficiency.

We’ve also completed and opened our Community Hall, with dining area and commercial kitchen for the benefit of our residents.
