We’re celebrating our 35th anniversary next month, and you’re invited!
Please join us for “Thanks From SHELTER,” an online event that kicks off at 7:30 pm on Wednesday, Nov. 17. We’ll show how far we’ve come since we were founded in 1986 on the heels of the Hands Across America movement, and we’ll honor those who have played pivotal roles in allowing us to best serve homeless and at-risk families and individuals in Contra Costa, Solano, and Sacramento counties.
If you’re in the area, you can also sign up to receive a special bag of party favors. These bags can be picked up at our office in Concord. Picking up your bag also enters you into exclusive prize drawings, so if you’re local to the area, make sure you opt in. If you do, you’ll receive an email closer to the event with pickup instructions and more information.
The celebration will feature a mix of live presentations and pre-recorded videos, and you can join in! Record a video of yourself telling your SHELTER, Inc. story, and post it on social media with the hashtag #SHELTERInc35 or email it to SHELTER@SHELTERinc.org.
We also invite you to nominate individuals and organizations who have made a significant impact within our community. We’ll pay special recognition to several of them during the event. If you know an individual, group, business, or someone we’ve helped that would be a worthy honoree, email SHELTER@SHELTERinc.org and tell us their story!
